Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho:MEXT) Scholarship
- DEADLINE OF SUBMISSION: THURSDAY, 23rd JUNE, 2016
- The Monbukagakusho (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology - MEXT)
offers the following scholarships to Tongan citizens who wish to study at Japanese universities.
Each scholarship program has different schedule for application every year.
*Please refer to the Embassy of Japan office for more details. - Please open and study the following application guidelines, outelines of Embassy of Japan in Tonga, application forms and necessary documents to be submitted to the Embassy. Completed application forms and necessary documents for the primary screening need to be submitted to the Embassy of Japan in Tonga by 4:30pm on Thursday, 23rd June, 2016.

- 4. Teacher training students * Application is not open at this moment.
Orientation of MEXT Scholarship for 2017
- The Embassy of Japan Office will hold the orientation for those who are interested in the MEXT scholarship program.
- (1) Date and time: Saturday, 11th, June 2016
- ９：００～１０：００ Research Students
- １０：００～１１：００ Undergraduate Students
- １１：００～１２：００ Specialized Training Students
- (2) Place: SUITE 2, 3rd Floor NRBT Building
*Please call the Embassy of Japan by Friday, 10th June for the purpose of security clearance, required by National Reserve Bank of Tonga Building. Approximate period of Application
- ・February : Teacher training students, Japanese studies students
- ・June : Research students, Undergraduate students, College of technology students, Special training college students
