Gifts to be filled with sweet memories -Japanese School Bags donated to Nuku’alofa GPS-

The students of the Nuku’alofa Government Primary School, in the central Tongatapu, happily received 50 Japanese school bags, the “Randoseru”, on Thursday morning, 18 July 2019.

H.E. Mr. Tetsuya Ishii, Ambassador of Japan to Tonga handed over the Randoseru, gifted from the people of Kuroshio Town, in Kochi Prefecture, Japan. Representatives from Kuroshio Town, Mr.Tamotsu Kaneko, Ms.Yuki Hamada and Ms.Miuzuki Inada were in Nuku’alofa for the occasion.

Hon. Penisimani Fifita, Minister for Education and Training of Tonga extended appreciation for the generous donation of the Randoseru. He said that the young students of Tonga will cherish this donated school bags and talk more about Japan.

Nuku’alofa Government Primary School is the third recipient of Randoseru school bags gifted from the people of Kuroshio Town. The Government Primary School of Mu’a, in the eastern Tongatapu received the first batch of the Randoseru in 2017 followed by the Government Primary School of Fua’amotu in September 2018. Each school is gifted 50 Randoseru school bags.

Mr. ‘Iasinito Faka’osi, Principal of Nuku’alofa Government Primary School, Parents and Teachers of Nuku’alofa GPS were pleased with the donation.
