Handover of Congratulatory Letter from P.M. Shinzo Abe of Japan

On Wednesday, 13 November 2019, H.E. Mr. Tetsuya Ishii, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Tonga, paid courtesy call on Hon. Pohiva Tu’ionetoa, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Tonga, to hand over the Congratulatory Letter from Mr. Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan, on his inauguration.

P.M. Tu’ionetoa thanked H.E. Mr.Ishii for delivering the letter, and expressed his sincere gratitude for the various kinds of aid projects provided by Japan.

On this opportunity, H.E. Mr. Ishii also handed over sunflower seeds to Hon. Tu’ionetoa, so that they can be planted in the gardens at St. George Building. The sunflower seeds were provided by a primary school in Akita Prefecture, Japan.
