This was held in the conference grounds of Tonga High School and was attended by the Ambassador of Japan, H.E. Mr. ISHII Tetsuya, who opened the event with some of words of encouragement. It began from 10:00am and there were 9 alumni members, who volunteered for this event, and they provided counselling for 32 young potential applicants.

Vava'u Islands’ group event
This was held in the Ministry of Tourism’s hall and as there is only a single alumni member of the TJAA residing in Vava'u, Ms. Sandy Tu'ipulotu, she took on all the responsibility of distributing application forms and guidelines to interested applicants and providing counselling on how to fill out applications as well as their fields of study.
