Second batch of Japan’s Emergency Relief Assistance arrived at Tonga
The second batch of Japan’s emergency relief assistance to the Kingdom of Tonga arrived at the Fua’amotu International Airport on Monday, 24th January 2022, on an Air Self-Defense Force aircraft from Japan.   
 
H.E. Mr. MUNENAGA, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kingdom of Tonga welcomed the assistance to support Tonga’s recovery effort from the massive damages of volcanic eruption and the tsunami.
 
Two tonnage of water, high presser water cleaners were main component of the second batch provided through the Japan International Cooperation Agency, JICA. Other emergency supplies including goggles, masks, and gloves were delivered as well.
 
The first batch of Japan’s relief assistance arrived on Saturday 22. The Government of Japan remains committed to assist the Kingdom and rebuilt back lives of its people.
