Third batch of Japan’s Emergency Relief Assistance arrived at Tonga
The third batch of Japan’s emergency relief assistance to the Kingdom of Tonga arrived at the Fua’amotu International Airport on Saturday, 29th January 2022, on an Air Self-Defense Force aircraft from Japan.   
 
Staffs of the Embassy of Japan and the JICA Office in Tonga welcomed the assistance to support Tonga’s recovery effort from the massive damages of volcanic eruption and the tsunami.
 
Based on the request from the Government of Tonga, Japan provided additional 2 tonnages of water and 3.5 tonnages of canned tuna on this aircraft. More relief items would be delivered by the Air Self-Defense Force aircraft soon.
 
The first and second batch of Japan’s relief assistance arrived on 22 and 24 January to deliver assistance including water, PPE, and  high presser water cleaners.
