The Ambassador accepted condolence call for the late former Prime MInister, Mr. ABE Shinzo

On Tuesday, 12 July 2022, the Ambassador of Japan, H.E. Mr. MUNENAGA Kensaku accepted a condolence call from Tonga's Acting Prime Minister, Hon. Poasi Tei, the Minister for Justice and Acting Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samiu Vaipulu, and the Minister for Finance, Hon. Tatafu Moeaki, on the untimely passing of Japan's former Prime Minister Mr. ABE Shinzo.
At 12:00 noon on the same day the Chairman of the Whole House Committee of Tonga's Legislative Assembly, Lord Vaea, paid a condolence call and read a message from Lord Fakafanua, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. Many Tongan people and Japanese residents also called upon the Embassy to pay their respects to the late former PM Abe.
