NIPPON Foundation, Japan donated books to Tonga High School

His Excellency, Mr. INAGAKI HISAO, Ambassador Designate of Japan to Tonga was pleased to hand over reading books from the NIPPON Foundation of Japan, to Tonga High School’s library on Wednesday afternoon, 27 March 2024.
The donation is part of the READ JAPAN PROJECT initiated by the Nippon Foundation, aiming to promote the understanding of Japan through donation of book to libraries around the world.
Ambassador INAGAKI wishes that the students will use the donated books to further their studies and deepen their knowledge in various aspects about the world, including Japan.
Over 90 Japan-related books, published in English language were donated. Ms. ‘Ana Veikoso, Principal of Tonga High School acknowledged the donation and said that they are fortunate to be a recipient of the Read Japan Project of the Nippon Foundation.
Other libraries in Nuku’alofa have also received book donation through the Project includes, the University of the South Pacific - Tonga Campus and Tonga Institute of Higher Education.
