His Majesty the Emperor of Japan’s 65th Birthday celebrated in Nuku‘alofa

On Thursday, 20 February, H.E. Mr. INAGAKI Hisao, Ambassador of Japan to Tonga, hosted a reception to celebrate HM Emperor Naruhito of Japan's 65th Birthday. The Emperor of Japan's birth date is Japan's National Day and it is nation wide day of celebration and sharing for the people of Japan. This year's reception by the Embassy was especially momentous as Their Majesties King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau'u graced the event with Their Presence. Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Tupouto'a 'Ulukalala and Crown Princess Sinaitakala Tuku'aho also joined the celebration. The Ambassador was truly grateful for the magnanimity of Tonga's Royal Family and he highlighted the warm friendship between Japan's Imperial Family and Tonga's Royal Household, which is the basis for the close relations between the two nations for 55 years. His Majesty's Government was represented by the Hon. Dr. 'Aisake Eke, Prime Minister of Tonga, and in his keynote address he emphasized the various cooperation between Tonga and Japan, which is a pillar in Tonga's development programs.
